Thank you for being a part of my youth!

I never thought I would be a member of Sơn Tùng M-TP's fandom or that I  would love him so much like this.

The first time I met him, how should I put it, was also a day in July, like now. To be frank, there wasn't anything special about my friends going back and forth over a new artist called Sơn Tùng M-TP. They went on and on about his handsomeness, pulling out a ton of pictures on their phones to brag. Well yeah it was … exciting, somehow, but what do I need a handsome boy for? I laughed and let it pass. As the popularity of that guy with an unusual stage name kept increasing day by day – to the point where his songs were looped all over the place – I found myself singing along without knowing the song's name. That's when I realized that I had fallen for him.

At the age of 20, I began to understand what it means to fall in love with someone head over heels, unconditionally, barren of any delusions, without expecting much in return. Just seeing him happy made me happy, too. Just seeing his happy smile from afar would make my heart flutter. In those first days, despite all the noise, I chose to believe you, a total stranger. That expression in your eyes convinced me. In my opinion, the eyes don't lie. That look in your eyes, though a tad more resolute, has stayed the same to this day.

Sơn Tùng at the age of 23 could be considered at the peak of fame, success and wealth. Only people who care about you as much as I do will understand that there's more to everything, that this is just the rocky beginning. The bumps in the past become insignificant compared to the long journey ahead. Wearing the fan badge, I promise to be waiting in the background to support your activities quietly.

The world is full of people who want to lash out at you, I know. However, in front of my eyes there is still an unaffected Sơn Tùng, who insists on keeping his somewhat bold and funny stage name M-TP (Music –Talent – Style), as if to remind himself where he came from. A Son Tung who keeps talking and singing despite his severely sore throat. I see a Sơn Tùng who just stepped into age 23, with a quieter aura about him, who continues to work diligently day or night, becoming thinner each day and darker, yet he always keeps a smile on his lips.

Sometimes noticing the impenetrable walls he built around him to protect his privacy and sanity breaks my heart. Hey Sơn Tùng, it's no pain no gain in this life. There isn't a single person who can confidently say that they've never fallen down. And of course you have a sense of pride of a young man, I know you don't want pity. You know how to stand up after each fall. But each time I catch that sad look in your eyes I can hardly avoid those unpleasant, nameless emotions

Today our Sơn Tùng will turn 23, that's not too old but also not that young anymore. And then one day, when I start my own family, you won't be the only one for me any longer. At least I was lucky to have met you in my youth at all.
